What service areas do you cover?

We serve the Lake Norman–Concord area and surrounding communities. Because our routes are built around staffing and demand, availability can vary by neighborhood and time of day. If you’re on the edge of our service area, we’re happy to confirm whether we can accommodate you. We commonly serve Lake Norman, Concord, Kannapolis, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Harrisburg, Denver, Troutman, and North Charlotte—availability varies.

Are you bonded and insured?

Yes — Pet Care Club of Lake Norman–Concord is bonded and insured.

Question 3

Do you background check and train your sitters?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our team members go through a hiring process that includes screening and background checks, and we invest in ongoing training and safety standards. We require staff training throughout the year on a variety of topics, including Pet CPR and First Aid. Sitters also have access to Pet Sitters International (PSI) trainings and videos to help handle new situations professionally and confidently.

Are your sitters employees or independent contractors?

Our sitters are W-2 employees, not independent contractors. That means they work for us and follow strict rules and procedures so your care is consistent, professional, and accountable.

Will I have the same provider each time?

Accepted Answer

We aim for consistency, but we’re a team-based company so your care is never dependent on one person. Most clients have a primary sitter plus trusted backup sitters. This protects your schedule during vacations, illness, and high-demand seasons—while still keeping your pet with familiar faces.

Do you require a meet & greet?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We require a meet & greet before services begin so we can review routines, access, safety notes, and make sure everyone feels comfortable. Your first meet & greet is free.

Question 7

Do you take keys?

Accepted Answer

At this time, we do not take or store client keys. We require an access method such as a door code, garage code, or lockbox.  We have lockboxes available during the meet and greet for $25 if you do not want to supply your own.  We recommend going to Amazon or Lowes to purchase a lockbox if time permits.

Question 8

Do you work with reactive or aggressive dogs?

We’re safety-first and can support many reactive pups with a tailored plan. Recent bite history may require trainer clearance or referral.

Do you offer last-minute scheduling?

Accepted Answer

Yes—subject to availability. A $20 service fee applies as schedules may need to be rearranged.

Do you offer dog training?

Accepted Answer

We don’t offer formal dog training programs at this time. However, we’re happy to support your routine with consistent walking manners, enrichment, and basic reinforcement of your home rules (as instructed by you or your trainer).

Do you offer boarding?

Accepted Answer

We provide in-home care (visits and select overnights) rather than traditional boarding in a facility. Many pets do best staying in their familiar home environment—less stress, fewer germs, and routines stay the same.

How far in advance should I book vacation care?

Accepted Answer

As soon as possible. Vacation periods book quickly, and early scheduling helps us ensure we have the proper staffing and coverage in place for your dates.
